New Years Review and Reflect
Darlings it has been an incredible 2023:
Some accomplishments from this bookish life this year:
Finished the Broken Kingdoms (I’m still a little heartbroken)
Released 6 books across my pen names
Signed a 2-book traditional deal with Penguin-Random House (Ace books)
released a new little book called The Ever King
forced myself out of my shell by agreeing to go to book signings next year
had at least 6 different hair colors
sold several foreign rights
watched COSAT be published in French and Spanish and COIAA in French.
made some awesome friends, both author and reader
discovered the beautiful world of Dramione fan fiction
Some of the struggles:
lost sleep when my characters were a-holes
overbooked my summer and barely hit deadlines
struggled with inadequacy
had several bouts of dark anxiety
had my account nearly shut down over pirating
crippling imposter syndrome
close death in the family
It’s been a year of great highs but also some struggles.
I’ve learned a lot about myself as a woman, an author, and a business owner.
My word for 2023 was Pivot. It came in handy plenty of times.
For 2024 my word is: Bold.
I hope to trust my instincts a little more, be less worried over what other people might think, and boldly write authentically, and boldly be me. I hope it helps me grow as a human to be kinder, more compassionate, and more gentle over the next 365 days.
Thank you for your support. I’ll say it again, you’ve changed my life!
Happy New Year!
If you have a word, I’d love to know what it is. Comment below.

Hi! I just discovered your book the Ever King and I loved it! I’m sorry if you’ve answered this before but I was wondering when physical books come out for the ever queen? I don’t really used kindle. I’m so glad to read this story and can’t wait for it to continue!
We have the preorder link available through the shop. We don’t have a hard date yet for the physical copies of the books. As soon as we do we will announce it on all platforms.
It was great seeing how much work you put into it. The picture is nice, and your writing style is stylish, but you seem to be worrying that you should be presenting the next article. I’ll almost certainly be back to read more of your work if you take care of this hike.
